She was the best cook ever
She could sew anything from to clothes to hand quilted masterpieces
She knitted and crocheted cozy scarves and hats and tiny baby blankets
She painted beautiful pieces on canvas
She created and painted her own clay pots and mugs
She made gorgeous jewelry
And she had a brain aneurism a few years ago and is no longer able to do these things
I think, in many ways, I want to take on her legacy
Neither of her daughters or my female cousins have any interest in most of her talents
And I can't claim to have as much creativity in my whole body as she has in her little finger
But next time I tell myself that I'm not crafty enough to try a new project
I'm going to think about grandma and try
So expect more crafty tutorials
More delicious recipes
More learning by doing
And maybe even a sewing machine (if I can find one for cheap enough, don't worry Hubs)
In the near future

Love this post! My grandma was a baker and it saddens me that I can't even bake the already-made-dough cookies without burning them and I never took advantage of her wonderful skills. I can't wait to see what you create and I bet your grandma would be very proud!
