{Tutorial} Wine Cork Monogram

Update: I found the tutorial that inspired this project!  Click here!

It's craft time people!

We all know that I heart all things wine.
Hubs and I have collected the corks from almost every bottle we've ever drank
And I've considered plenty of wine cork projects,
but a trivet or a bulletin board never seemed special enough to use my corks for

But I was inspired the other day to make these
gorgeous
easy
Wine Cork Monogram Letters
and knew that this was it.

Wine Cork Monogram Letters

Supplies
Wood letter
(I got mine at Michael's)
Glue gun
Wine corks
Sharp shears
(In case you need to cut any corks to form to a certain letter
H was easy, so I didn't)

I laid my corks out before gluing so I could make sure they fit ok.

Then
...get ready for it...
Glue them on the letter.

Then clean up all of the little spider webs trails that the glue gun leaves

Woah, tough right?
Let it dry and you're done!

And enjoy your handmade new decor piece
Complete with memories of many a happy evening.

Love the idea, but missing the corks or the time?
I have updated and refined this process and am now offering wine cork monograms, jumbo monograms, hearts, and other wine related home decor
