Brie Cups {Easy App Recipe}

Ok so I saw this recipe on Pinterest and wanted to try it immediately
Which is pretty much my reaction to anything with brie in it
Unfortunately, after searching through the frozen food section of three different grocery stores, I determined that mini fillo shells are a myth...like the tooth fairy or a chupacabra {yes, I just went there}

So I had to mess with it a little bit.
But it was still awesome
And instead of having little bitty brie bites
I had big, lovely brie cups
That looked lovely on the counter
Until they were immediately inhaled


Brie Cups

Ingredients
1 roll of fillo dough
{there are usually 2 in a pack}
1 wedge of brie
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tblspns honey

Grab your muffin tins and let's get going

Roll out your fillo dough and cut it into quarters.


Push a couple of sheets into each muffin space so it forms a little cup


Cut the edges off your brie, then cut it up into little chunks.
Add one chunk to each cup.


Top each brie with a sprinkling of chopped pecans


Then with a coat of brown sugar and a squirt of honey.


Pop them in the oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes

Remove, plate, and get 'em while they're hot
Because they're not going to last until they've cooled off
Yummm...my mouth is watering just thinking about these

  2. Yum! I think I've seen the cups in my local grocer but I feel your pain. I had a similar experience with wonton wrappers - bloggers kept talking about them like there were wonton trees. Had to find at an Asian speciality store!

    1. lol! we have wonton wrappers in my grocery store but definitely no phyllo cups...oh well!

  3. I totally love Brie ! Thanks for sharing (We actually do have rolls with small sheets) What we don't have is crescent rolls .. in a can? This is also a popular ingredient on most of Pinterest recipes :-(
