Girlfriends

There's nothing like your college girlfriends
Girls who have known you for years and have stood by your side
When it was easy in the classes and libraries, the frat parties, sorority houses and bars
And who were there, despite distance, to celebrate the growth of your career
There to be bridesmaids at your wedding
And who, so easily, come back together after months away
And reconnect as if we all still lived under the same roof.

The lovely Mrs. N was in town this weekend
{and had the honor of being our very first house guest}
And it was just like old times
I let the stress of work wash away, let loose and just had fun.
