The worst thing to happen to LA traffic since...last summer when it happened the first time.
Carmegeddon II.
And it's this weekend.
To give some perspective to the non-Angelenos, this is cutting off the one major freeway that I can use to get around.
This one major freeway's packed all the time, be it day or night, weekday or weekend
And all the peeps who need to use said freeway will now be using my cozy little surface streets to drive on.
Oh and last time this happened all of the scary press it was getting made it a total bust.
There was barely any traffic at all and they finished the construction project ahead of schedule.
Which makes me think that everyone is going to assume that the roads will be just fine this time around and bam! Gridlock.
Suffice to say, I'm staying local for my travels this weekend.
Any fellow Angelenos out there?

Ugh! Even though we live in SD now, we'll still hit Carmageddon because we have a wedding to go to in LA... the VALLEY! I'm so scared.

DeleteI'm not familiar with carmageddons, but living in Belgium and my husband working in the capital means we have our daily share of trafic jams. He has at least. Beautiful weekends mean queuing from the center of the country to the coast. Rain makes it worse, and snow... you get the picture.
