*Friday Fabulousness* Football

I love football season
I love dressing up in blue and gold
And the smell of the grass at the tailgate
I love cheering for my team until I'm hoarse
And celebrating touchdowns with strangers in the stands
I love that it becomes an excuse for all of us to get together every weekend and celebrate where we came from
Go Bruins!

Semi-Slow Cooker Spicy Chicken Avocado Enchiladas {Little Kitchen, Big Bites}

Remember how I told you about my new cooking blog Little Kitchen, Big Bites?
Just in case you haven't had a chance to take a peak, I wanted to share my newest recipe,
Semi-Slow Cooker Spicy Chicken Avocado Enchiladas

Anything that involves three whole, delectable avocados is a winner off the bat in my book.
Hubby took a break from shoveling them into his mouth to say *top five, all time*
And I agreed.
Well, I agreed as much as I could with my face full of enchiladas.
It was more of a happy grunt and a nod.

They looked like this when we started dinner...

And then like this about five minutes later....
I may have licked the plate after this picture was taken...

They were simply awesome.

Hello, Monday

Oh hi Monday.
It's good to see you.
Did you know the first football game of the season is on Thursday?
That makes this a good week in my book.

Hello Michaels
Is it really time for Christmas decorations?  Really????
Ok, well then I guess it's perfectly appropriate for me to go back to listening to Christmas music.  Done.

Hello pretty sky.
It's been a weird few weeks of weather over here...we Angelinos prefer a little less humidity than we've been served up.

And on the same token, hello 109?!?!
This makes me question my desire to live in the valley.

Hello new glasses and nerdy-est face I've ever made.
It looks like I'm not wearing anything in this picture.
Let me assure you that I was not naked in the middle of the optometrists office.
Although at 109 degrees, I would consider it.

Hello brilliant idea #1 of the week.
Any other apartment dwelling doggie mamas out there who always need pockets to carry their phone/keys/treats when taking the pup out?  Grab an old wristlet and attach it to the loop of the leash!
I'm either a genius for discovering this or a total idiot for not thinking of it sooner.

Hello brilliant idea #2.  Just dip.
So sweet, so salty,
So brilliant, and so fattening.

Hello you.
Are you excited about the return of college football?!?!
Everyone get your hands up and ready for an 8-clap!
{Go Bruins}

*Friday Fabulous* Morning Meals

So I have a confession to make.  I don't do breakfast.
Yes, I know it's the most important meal of the day.
Yes, I know that some people would rather have breakfast food all day than anything else.
But when I go out for breakfast, I'm that girl who orders off of the lunch menu
Or gets a breakfast sandwich
But most of the time, I just skip it.

Of course, Pinterest is slowly changing my mind
I gave in and made a *morning menu* board from all of the yummy breakfast recipes that started to invade my other board
And I may actually think about giving them a try every once in a while

Do you eat breakfast every morning?

Happy Friday!

I'm in the elevator a lot every day
I take it up and down to work and to my apartment
And sometimes, when I'm alone, it gets a little goofy

Source: via Jennifer on Pinterest

I like to do a little dance
Rock out to a song on my iPod
Check myself out in the mirrors
{gotta fix the stray hairs or funky makeup before anyone sees me!}
And, more often than not, I make crazy faces at the security camera

I've also tried the below, thanks to Pinterest...and determined that it absolutely doesn't work
But only after yelling at a colleague not to push the button so that I could try it
...and having her think that I was a crazy five years old...

Confession: I'm a total goof in the elevator
And the security people probably think I'm a nut

PS I found this on Pinterest
And now I have new fun things to try...

Cakester Footballs

I wanted to repost this favorite from my Superbowl party last year
Because football season is coming up soon lovelies!
There's something about football and fall that just makes me so excited...regardless of the fact that it means that our days of laying by the pool and slow work season are coming to an end.

This was a definite easy wow factor dessert
I got plenty of *omg did you make these?!*
Um...sort of?

Oreo Cakester Footballs

2 boxes of Oreo Cakesters
Brown sprinkles
White frosting pen

First, cut the edges off of the cakesters and make a football shape
You can also do this with a cookie cutter, but I didn't have one, so I just rolled with it.
Oh, and feel free to eat the discarded edges
You deserve it for whipping up such an awesome dessert

And yes, I do use the same cutting board to do desserts that I use for veggies,
thank you very much

Pour the sprinkles into a bowl and roll the edges of the cookie in it until they're all coated.

Annnd use the frosting pen to draw the laces on it.

That's it.
Cute themed dessert, no hot oven required.
You can thank me by sending me a couple from your batch.
